Research highlights West End Community Action Network

A new case study published by the Institute for Voluntary Action Research (IVAR) has examined the organisation and impact of a Community Action Network in Morecambe’s West End, an initiative spearheaded by the Bay Medical Group and Lancaster District CVS.

Focusing on how to support health and wellbeing from the ground up and provide support for people who really need it but who are not always ‘seen’, the Network looks at how to make the best use of the assets in the local area.

By studying and reporting on the Network as part of their work as a learning partner with Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Partnership, IVAR show how cross-sector partnerships can develop to serve communities from their grassroots.
