Nominate a group that you admire for The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service
Can you nominate a local volunteer involving organisation for the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service 2023? Is there a group that you really admire, whose work you think has been vital and has changed lives? Is there a group whose volunteers YOU would like to see recognised for their amazing work?
Each year we encourage organisations to consider whether THEY would like to be nominated, and to join our conversations about how to give their organisation the best chance of success. This year we want you to think about nominating another organisation, a group that you have no involvement with but whose work you admire.
The nomination process is now open and the closing date is this September.
We want to celebrate Lancaster and the volunteers that make our communities great. To find out more about the process, including how you can nominate a group for the Award, you can join an online session on Monday 18th July at 1pm. Join the Zoom meeting to meet Helen Bingley who is an assessor on the Lancashire panel, as well as a previous recipient of the Award with the Abaseen Foundation.
