Upskilling the Health & Social Care Workforce across Lancashire
The health economy within Lancashire and across the country is undergoing significant change with the creation of a Lancashire and South Cumbria integrated Care System and five place-based Care Partnerships.
The purpose of the project is to upskill the workforce of small and medium sized (250 paid employees or less) enterprises across Lancashire who contribute towards improving people’s health.
Organisations that focus on, but are not limited to, the arts, sport and recreation, adult education, training, community development, employment support, debt advice, housing, welfare support, environmental initiatives, along with those organisations that provide clinical care within a NHS Health or Social Care setting would be considered eligible.
Free Flexible Bespoke Training
The project will deliver both non-accredited and accredited free of cost training in the workplace or at a local venue to help support the organisations workforce. The project will aim to develop bespoke customised local training offers that meet the specific needs of the organisation within each of the five Integrated Care partnership areas.
Organisational Diagnostics/Skills Audit
Every organisation will be required to undertake and organisational diagnostic and skills audit. This is to ensure that any newly developed skills meet the organisation’s needs and priorities and will therefore play a meaningful role in improving the lives of the population of Lancashire.
