Recognizing Local Heroes: Nominate Your Community Champion with easyfundraising and Win £250 for Your Organisation
- On
We are surrounded by heroes. People who go above and beyond, people who day in, day out make amazing contributions to our communities and bring positive, often life-changing difference, to people right across Lancaster district.
If you work or volunteer for a local not-for-profit organisation or project, you very likely know a hero. Maybe it’s you! No capes, no spandex, no special powers, just ordinary people doing the extraordinary.
easyfundraising is a national initiative that was launched in 2005. Founded by Ian Woodroffe, who had the idea of connecting fundraising with the then-growing e-commerce sector, while he was undergoing treatment for cancer. Today they work with countless organisations across the country from Macmillan Cancer Support to Quernmore Primary School! They have helped organisations raise in excess of £55million.
easyfundraising wants to recognise local heroes and is giving you the opportunity to nominate someone for all that they do, to be celebrated and at the same time get £250 for the organisation that they support.
So is there someone in your organisation who’s a real champion? Three incredible people deserving of some much-needed recognition and appreciation will be chosen to be easyfundraising’s Community Champions and will win a £250 donation for their organisation, as well as £250 to treat themselves to something special.
To nominate your champion, fill in the short online form by 23:59 on 30th September and tell easyfundraising why this person is so amazing. Whether they’re inspiring the next generation, going above and beyond their duties, fighting for change, or just showing up and doing a fantastic job – easyfundraising wants to know!
Get your nominations in here by 30th September and you can complete the nomination form here.
easyfundraising can also help your organisation to raise funds. To find out more, visit their website. They have a really interesting way of raising funds, by working with thousands of brands across the country so that whenever you shop, you can also raise money for your chosen cause. And it doesn’t cost you any more than you would already be spending – all the funds come from the brands that have partnered with easyfundraising! So whether you want to support education projects, children’s welfare, animals and wildlife, national or local projects, you can do it through easyfundraising.
