Neu Way Support in the Lancaster District
Support for families of children and young people with neurodevelopmental needs
Families of children and young people aged from birth to 25 years who may have autism, ADHD or other neurodevelopmental differences can access Neu Way Support.
This is a new service funded by the Lancashire & South Cumbria Integrated Care Board in partnership with Spring North. Lancaster District CVS has been selected as the Neu Way delivery partner for the area covered by Lancaster City Council.
The service is based on need, which means you do not need a diagnosis to get support.
How can Neu Way Support help?
We can provide:
- Advice and guidance
- Information about local services and support
- Help to understand what support may be available for your child or young person
- Practical resources and tools
- Support to identify next steps and develop a personalised plan
- Signposting to community, education, health and voluntary sector services
We know that every family is different, so support will be tailored to your individual needs.
Who is the service for?
Neu Way Support is available for families of children and young people aged from birth to 25 years who:
- Have concerns about autism, ADHD or other neurodevelopmental differences
- Are waiting for an assessment
- Have recently received a diagnosis
- Would benefit from information, advice or support to help navigate services.
You don’t need a diagnosis or be on a waiting list to access support.
Make a referral
Families can refer themselves directly, or ask a professional to help.
Why access Neu Way Support?
As a parent or carer, you know your child better than anyone. If you’ve noticed changes in how they communicate, learn, interact or experience the world, it’s natural to have questions. You may be wondering what those differences mean, where to seek advice or how to find the right support.
Neu Way Support recognises that every family’s journey is unique. For many, the path to understand their child’s needs can feel overwhelming, with long waiting times, a lot of information to navigate, and uncertainty about what to do next.
You don’t need a diagnosis to access the service. Whether you’re at the beginning of your journey, awaiting an assessment, have recently received a diagnosis, or simply need someone to talk things through with, we’re here to help.
Our aim is to ensure every family can access trusted, practical support and local connections at the earliest opportunity, helping you feel informed, supported and confident about the next steps.
