Employer Supported Volunteering

You might have heard the term “corporate social responsibility” before and it’s basically a way for businesses to show that they are being socially responsible, making sure that their presence and their output is a net positive for the communities that they operate in. This might be through environmental sustainability, making financial choices that prioritise staff of community wellbeing over profit, and any number of other ways. One way that companies often choose to do this is by implementing a staff volunteering scheme, often allowing their staff one or two days per year, during work time, fully paid, to volunteer for a good cause.

Sometimes companies will let their staff volunteer individually, and sometimes they prefer groups of people to volunteer together.
