Volunteer Achievement and Lancaster Sports Awards 2015

Lancaster District CVS would like to thank everyone who has so far supported the Volunteer Achievement Awards 2015, will be held on Thursday 11th June, 4pm to 6pm, at Salt Ayre Sports Centre.  We are working in partnership this year with Lancaster City Council and the event will include their inaugural Lancaster City Council Sports Awards.  Together we will recognise, reward and celebrate the outstanding contribution volunteers make to the area.

This year’s event is very kindly being sponsored by Fat Media (www.fatmedia.co.uk) and the Cumberland Building Society (www.cumberland.co.uk), and without their support we would not be able to bring you this year’s awards.  You can find out more about our sponsors towards the bottom of this page.

The decisions have been made on the winners for this year’s awards and the stage is set for a wonderful couple of hours on the 11th.  Will you be joining us?  There is still time to book your place – call Mark on 01524 555900 or email him at markwaddington@lancastercvs.org.uk..

There will be awards in 9 categories.  They are:

CVS

–          Young Volunteer of the year

–          Volunteer of the Year

–          Trustee of the Year

(And in addition to the above, Achievement Certificates will be presented to both individuals and groups).

SPORTS

–          Adult volunteer of the year

–          Lifetime Achievement Award

–          Young Volunteer of the year

–          Community Club of the Year

–          Coach of the year

–          Service to Disability Sport award

If you would like to attend the Awards, please note that we are asking for a small donation of £2 per attendee.

This year’s event will look and feel slightly different from previous years and we aim to showcase some of the amazing activity happening in our communities, with music and demonstrations of local activity.

About our Sponsors

Fat Media is an award winning digital marketing agency based right here in Lancaster, and they have helped the CVS in previous years with the Volunteer Achievement Awards.  We are very pleased that once again, in 2015, Fat Media have been able to support our event.  They are very involved in community activity and support other not for profit groups in the area.

The Cumberland Building Society has also supported CVS in previous years and again we are delighted that they are able to help with this event again this year.  The Cumberland supports the work of voluntary organisations that aim to make a real difference within our communities, and are therefore proud to sponsor the Lancaster Volunteer Achievement Awards and Lancaster City Council Sports Awards 2015, which recognise and celebrate the work of volunteers from across the district.
